Comfortable bed in a well-maintained, recently renovated room. 😊

Location: the hotel was not far from historic mall area and John Paul Jones arena, which is a block away and Charlottesville. The room itself was updated, neat with comfortable beds and had the things we needed.

We had satisfactory breakfasts with belgian waffles and the fresh waffle makers, as example. Very friendly and excellent staff, as it had to be.

Nice staff, decent breakfast
It is located on the main road and next to a railway line, so it is not suitable for noise sensitive people

The location of Cavalier Inn At The University Of Virginia was perfect for my visit to the campus. It was just a short walk away, making it very convenient. Additionally, the room was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The hot breakfast in the morning was delicious, especially the well-seasoned eggs. I also appreciated the great rate I got for my stay at around $57 a night, which included a satisfying breakfast for two people.

Location
The room was a little worn... the furniture has shown the wear of the football crowd as well as the beds.... they were air matresses and one was "low" the other flat.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. the location was perfect for exploring the University of Virginia campus, and being on a main street made it easy to navigate. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great advice for getting around the area. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with nice views and all the basic amenities needed for a pleasant stay. I particularly appreciated the microwave and mini fridge in the room, making it convenient to store and reheat some snacks. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a variety of options including do-it-yourself Belgian waffles, which were a personal favorite. The fresh waffle makers were a nice touch. Although there was no bacon, there were plenty of other tasty choices. this hotel provided great value for money and attention to detail, making my stay enjoyable.
All was fine, couldn't ask for more.

It was a clean, comfortable room and had a good variety of hot and cold foods for breakfast. It was centrally located for activities we wanted to do and there was a nice selection of restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Location was excellent. Lobby and room were comfortable.
The plumbing in my room (506) was in bad shape. The sink was sloping badly and pulling away from the wall. The toilet was cracked at the base which made it unstable. The tub drain was noisey. I tried to alert the the check out person at the front desk and she was not interested.

My recent stay at a hotel near the university was generally a positive experience. The hotel's location made it easy for me to access the campus and surrounding areas, which was great. The spacious room had a comfortable bed, nice climate control, and a fantastic view. I also appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and the breakfast, which included fresh Belgian waffles and a coffee setup. However, the bathroom needed some renovation. The shower was too finicky with temperature, and the sink drained slowly. Despite this minor issue, I still consider good value for my money.

Great location for seeing a concert at John Paul Jones Arena. It was a short walk.
The bathroom definitely needs an update!

Having not been to the charlottesville area we choose simply based on the price and location and picture of the room. Being next to the campus, downtown and the mountains should make this a winner. However the air did not work. We moved to another room and the air quite during the eve. We also found a live stink bug in our bathroom. It is not a problem that the place is older. the photos on the wall give it charm and the cont. breakfast was good. No bugs and things need to work. I think that the allumni would agree.
